Charles David Wingard, 72, currently residing in Chaparral, New Mexico, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026 after a short illness. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 16, 1953 to the late Charles T. and Janis F. (nee Noveske) Wingard.
He graduated from Elyria High School in 1973 and tried his hand at different occupations throughout his working life.
He is survived by his sister and her husband, Peggy and Mark Wyar, along with his three nieces, Naomi Wacker, Abigail Wyar and Martha Blackwell and their families.
His love for his family, friends and his dogs was evident throughout his life. He enjoyed good music, motorcycles, fishing, gardening and cooking. Being a very caring man, he was willing to help wherever he could.
The family will hold a private celebration of his life.
