Donald S. Pruchnicki, age 85, of Elyria, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake. Born October 12, 1939, in Lorain to the late Steven and Elizabeth (née Demko) Pruchnicki, Donald graduated from Lorain High School in 1957. He retired from Nordson Corporation in 2001, after 25 years of dedicated service.
Donald was a proud member of I.A.M. & A.W. Local 1802 and the United Polish Club, where he formed many lifelong friendships. Outside of work, he enjoyed a variety of hobbies that reflected his energetic spirit and curious mind. He loved car racing, camping with family and friends, solving crossword puzzles, and caring for his yard, which he took great pride in maintaining.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert; and his sister, Darlene Pluta. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 39 years, Judy (née Meltzer); his daughters, Cheryl Stanziano (Paul) of Grafton and Tammy Hoskinson of Elyria; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many dear friends and extended family who will miss him greatly.
Donald’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his legacy of love, laughter, and hard work will never be forgotten.
The family will receive friends at the Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria on Friday, September 26 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. A Graveside service will be held at Brookdale Cemetery on Saturday, September 27 beginning at 11:00 am.
