Georgia L Fries

Georgia L. Fries, 70, of Elyria, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. She was an amazing woman! Georgia was a published author; had degrees in English, Liberal Arts, and as a Registered Nurse. Besides English, she spoke three other languages – Spanish, French, and Latin.  She played the piano, recorder, and harmonica. Georgia wanted to learn EVERYTHING and acquire as much knowledge as she possibly could. She loved reading, writing, gardening, and quilting, and was a great homemaker and cook. Georgia was the most interesting and fascinating person you could meet and will be greatly missed.

Georgia is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, David; children, Christina Murray (Allen) and Ian Fries; grandchildren, Lillith, Kincade, and Elizabeth; and a sister, Cynthia Parker-Young. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Piper and Marjorie Parker; and several brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 21 at 5:00 pm at the Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria, with the family receiving friends beginning at 4:00 pm.
