Elyria
James Michael Koviak, 55 of Elyria, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 following a battle with cancer. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and spending time at his camper. Jim loved spending time with his sons and he loved his grandsons, and his dog, Stella.
Jim is survived by his loving sons, Christopher Koviak (Matthew Pavlina), Andrew Koviak (Ashley), and Matthew Koviak (Jeff Chesney); grandsons, Anderson and Aidan Koviak; mother, Joanne Koviak; brothers, Albert Koviak, Jr., and Michael Koviak (Jim Polzner); and a sister, Renee Burr (Dale). He was preceded in death by his father, Albert T. Koviak, Sr.
A Memorial Mass will take place on Friday, June 30 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Church, 320 Middle Ave., Elyria, followed by the burial at St. Mary Cemetery.
