Jay Allan Baumann

Jay Allan Baumann, age 91, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully in his home on May 5^th, 2023.

He was born in Rockville Centre, New York in 1932.  Hegrew up in Long Island, New York, where he lived until he joined the Air Force in 1950, retiring in 1960 to raise a family. He married Gloria Keiper in November 1960. They had 3 beautiful children together; Jessica, Marcia (Craig) Boyer, and Paul (Tammy) Baumann. 

Jay loved his family most, and being a father and grandfather to his children and all their friends. He was an avid gardener, and loved to tell a good joke or story to anyone who would lend their ears. He also enjoyed playing pranks and tricks on his family and friends. 

Jay is survived by his children, Paul (Tammy) Baumann, Marcia (Craig) Boyer and Jessica Baumann; grandchildren, Les (Julie) Boyer, Lucas Boyer, Shawn Baumann, and Samantha Baumann; great grandchildren, Oliver, Quinn and Journey Boyer; great nephew, Lee Zannoni; niece, Sonny Kincade. 

Jay was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria; father, Jeffery; mother, Mabel; brother, Lee Baumann; sister. Ruth Price.  

A private funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Elyria for immediate Family.
