Jerald Joseph Jurcak, age 88, died on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Brookdale Westlake Village, Westlake, Ohio. He was born October 6, 1937, in Cleveland Hts., Ohio to Stephen and Mary Mae (nee Koska) Jurcak. Jerry was an Eagle Scout in 1952 and went on to graduate from Maple Hts. High School in 1955. He attended Bowling Green State University and Cleveland State University. Jerry joined the Marines in 1960 and after serving his first enlistment, he remained in the Reserves until 1966. He married his beloved wife, Mary, in 1962 and as a result of that union they had 3 beautiful daughters, Sandi (Chris) Seidl, Carrie (Joe) Borisa, and Joli Jurcak.
Jerry worked as an Accountant for the Cleveland Trust Co, Pioneer Federal, and Cardinal Federal, and ultimately retired from Charter One Bank. In his retirement years he worked for Puffers Flowers and Campana, Campana and Co., Inc.
His hobbies included golf, shooting pool at Brookdale, playing and watching baseball and softball. He was an avid bowler, competing in several championships from high school through his 70’s. He also loved feeding and watching the hummingbirds with his wife Mary.
Jerry is survived by his loving daughters, Sandi (Chris) Seidl, Carrie (Joe) Borisa, and Joli Jurcak; grandchildren, Amanda Seidl, Natalie (Peter) Dahlstrom, Sean Seidl, and Amelia Borisa; and he was Opa to his great granddaughter; Julie Joan.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 12 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria and from 10:00 - 11:00 am on Friday, February 13 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 590 Poplar St., Elyria, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
