Louise J Huffman

Louise J. Huffman (nee Hayman) age 99 and 2 months, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025. She was born in McCutchenville, Ohio and lived on the family farm until she was 18. She survived the Great Depression, and supported the war efforts during WWII by working in a factory. In her 40’s she went to school and became an LPN, which she loved doing for about 26 years, retiring in 1984. Louise was an avid seamstress and quilter, and loved flower gardening and bird watching. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Louise is survived by her seven children, Christinia McClellan (John), Valarie Husbands (Terry), Susan Scott, Timothy Huffman (Debbie), Kathleen Hans, David Huffman, and Pamela Kleinhenz (Tom); 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a sister, Lois Pahl; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Carrie Hayman; and siblings, Gladys, Paul, George, Dale, Edith, Mary, and Joanne.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 19 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria, where the funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11:00 am, followed by the burial at Ridge Hill Memorial Park and a luncheon after that.
