Marilyn J. Rollbuhler

Marilyn Jeanette Rollbuhler, 93, of Florence, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026. She was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to parents, Major Hiram Sullivan and Frances Marian (nee Gray).

Although Marilyn enjoyed being a homemaker, caring for her husband and children, she also enjoyed her career as a Secretary for an Elyria Orthopedic medical group and an Aviation Administrator for Air Continental out of Lorain County Airport. She was a great cook and arranged beautiful flower settings. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Jim (deceased) throughout North American and Europe and family reunions where each family member could reconnect. She and her husband, Jim, were volunteers at Elyria Memorial Hospital for forty years.

In her last four years, she was blessed to have Amy and Haley employed at the assisted living facility where she lived to provide her every day care with such compassion, along with family who continued to love and provide whatever was needed.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, David (Amy) and Tom (Kim); grandchildren, Devon Koons (Ryan), Colton and Lexie Rollbuhler, Collin and Haley Kozubal; great grandchildren Liam and Layla.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Major and Frances Sullivan and a son, Steven Rollbuhler.

The family will receive friends at the Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, and at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 360 Princeton Avenue, Elyria, Ohio on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 am. The funeral service will be held at the church, officiated by Rev. Tim Scholl, at 11:00 am, immediately followed by the burial at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 N Ridge Road in Amherst, Ohio.
