Ninabelle (Nina) Osborne, 99, lifetime resident of Elyria, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 with her daughter, Marie, by her side. Nina was born November 24, 1926 to the late William and Margaret (nee Rourke) Birkline.

Nina graduated from Elyria High School in 1944. She was an original member of St. Jude Church and very active in the Altar and Rosary Society working with rummage sales, fish fry’s, school lunches, Easter candy sales and was a church gardener for over 30 years. She was a homemaker and after raising four children, worked in the circulation department at The Chronicle Telegram, the Phaudler Company, and the jewelry department at Higbee’s at Midway Mall.

Nina was very active in life as evidenced by riding bikes and walking the neighborhood for years with her husband, Karl, water walking, yard work and gardening. She enjoyed going to lunch with friends and traveling. Nina loved watching the Cleveland Indians, even attending games at Progressive Field and followed the Cleveland Browns. Her many hobbies included reading Amish stories and word search puzzles.

In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Osborne Sr., son, Karl Osborne Jr. and sister, Georgia Anton.

She is survived by her son, James (Mary) Osborne of Seville, Ohio; daughters, Marie of Elyria, Ohio and Martha of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Connie Osborne Sureck (Jeff), Zack Osborne and Nicole Beal (Jamie) and four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home at 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at St. Jude Catholic Church at 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, Ohio. The Reverend Frank P. Kosem, Pastor Emeritus, will officiate. The Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Lake Avenue in Elyria, Ohio.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Western Reserve for the loving care and support of Nina and special thanks to Nurse, Laura.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Catholic Church at 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, Ohio or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
