Patricia E Cielinski

Patricia E. Cielinski (nee Torpey), 88 years old of Elyria, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at her daughter Pam’s home surrounded by her family.

Pat was born on June 12, 1935, in Pottsville, PA, and had lived in Elyria since 1963. She was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School in 1953. She was a retired partial business owner of Eastern Press in Pottsville, PA. She was a Girl Scout leader and former member of many St. Jude Catholic Church organizations, including being a founding member of St. Jude Catholic Church liturgy commission. She loved bowling, gardening, and most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. There was nothing more important in her life than loving and caring for her family.

Pat is survived by her three daughters, Patrice C. Pritchard (Joseph White) of Tampa, FL, Pamelynn C. Carver (Richard) of Elyria, OH, and Polette C. Marozsan (William) of LaGrange, OH; three grandchildren, Erin C. Vaughn (Mike) of Tampa, FL, Amie E. Kiedrowski (Michael) of Westlake, OH, and Zachary J. Marozsan (Ashley) of Parma, OH; two great-grandsons, Joshua C. Vaughn and Levon T. Kiedrowski. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John J. Cielinski, Jr. in 2012; parents, James J. Torpey and Madeline Torpey (Honicker); brothers, James F. and Richard P. Torpey.

Family and friends will be received at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 319 Mahantongo St. Pottsville, PA. beginning at 12:00 pm on Monday, October 23, 2023, until the time of mass at 1:00 pm, with Pat’s nephew, The Reverend Father James F. Torpey officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville, PA.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice of the Western Reserve for all the care and support they provided to Pat and her family over the past several months.
