Ronald L Crockett

Ronald L. Crockett, 93 of Elyria passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at the Elms in Wellington. Ron graduated from West Tech High School in Cleveland and then served in the US Army. He was very proud of the two years he served in Korea. After his military service, Ron went on to work for Ohio Bell, where stayed until his retirement. He loved John Wayne movies and polka and waltz music. He was also a Red Coat volunteer at the Palace Theater in Cleveland. Ron enjoyed tinkering with CB radios and telephones. He was very proud of his Scottish Ancestry, and loved our country and the American flag. Ron never met a stranger, and he would help anyone who needed it. He was very proud of the man he was and of his high morals and integrity. Along with his family whom he loved dearly, he also had five great neighbors who were a huge help to him.

Ron is survived by his loving daughter, Jill Michalak; grandchildren, Derek (Melissa), Derel, Abagail, Adam, Nathan, Andy (Elaina), Erin, Scott (Marivell), and Christopher; 8 great grandchildren; and a niece, Lynn and nephew, Chuck. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Estelle; parents, Ronald and Mildred; daughter, Sharon; and a step-daughter, Lisa (Don); and step-sons, Kevin and Glenn.

The family will receive friends at Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria on Monday, September 21 from 10:00 am until the memorial service at 11:30 am. Military honors will be presented after the memorial service and also at the inurnment at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 2:15 pm on that day.
