Rosemarie "Dolly" Smith

Rosemarie “Dolly” Smith (nee Kumazec), 92 of Elyria passed away on May 26, 2025 at her home under the care of the Hospice of the Western Reserve.

Dolly was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 2, 1932 and made her home in Elyria for the past 55 years. She loved gardening, music, playing Yahtzee, and working crossword puzzles. In her earlier days she used to enjoy dancing to polka music, and will be remembered as a fun lady.

Dolly is survived by her children, Terence Smith, Andrea Smith, Brian Smith, and Tracy Smith (Freda Smith); grandchildren, Tiffany Smith her primary care giver, Brent Smith, Brandon Smith, Jennifer Smith, Cory Smith, Kyle Smith, Tyler Smith, Savanna Armour (Kyle) and Gregory Armour; six great grandchildren; and siblings, Loreen Cassarro and Robert Kumazec.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mike; parents, Marko and Mary Kumazec; and siblings, William Kumazec, Margaret “Toots” Dobbs, and Martha Kumazec.

The family will receive friends at the Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria on Rosemarie’s birthday, Monday, June 2 from 11:00 am until the final prayers at 1:15 pm. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, Ohio.
