Tana Jean Burkey

Tana Jean Burkey, “Nana”, 60 of Elyria, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023. She was a fun-loving person who loved to laugh and be a jokester. Tana loved being at family gatherings and helping family members whenever she could. She loved travelling to different places; shopping; collecting antiques and jewelry; and bird watching and nature in general. Nana was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Elyria, and enjoyed attending church often. She also loved animals, especially her “Tiny Dog”.

Tana is survived by her long-time companion and partner, Jeffrey Groh; sister, Paula Burkey; nieces, Savanah Kosicki (David), Sierra Russell (Ryan), Sabrina Burkey, and Brittany Burkey: and nephew, Dakota Deichler; along with great nieces and nephews, Gage Everett, Luke Russell, Logan Kosicki, Alexandria Kosicki, and Landyn Burkey.

Tana was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Nancy Burkey; an infant sister, Rhonda Sue Burkey; and recently, her brother, William Burkey.

A private family service will be held.
